Abstract

Alkali-activated systems belong to a large group of inorganic binders. These are characterized by the large energy and environmental potential. These materials are produced by alkaline activation and subsequent polycondensation. These systems represent the nowadays relatively new type of construction materials. The main objective of this work was to determine the basic properties of alkali-activated materials depending on the type of binder. In the experiment were first evaluated the properties of fresh mixture, the next section was focused on the impact of tempering on basic physical and mechanical properties of products and the frost resistance of the prepared materials. The best results were achieved by composites prepared on the basis of granulated blast furnace slag, research has confirmed a positive effect of tempering on the initial strength of prepared elements.
