Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on measurement of electrical conductivity of composite materials based on polymer/phyllosilicate. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with characterization of conductive polymer (polyaniline) and phyllosilicates (montmorillonite and vermiculite) and with properties of composite materials (polyaniline/phyllosilicates). The practical part describes precursors for the preparation of polyaniline, used clays, various methods of preparing composite materials based on polyaniline/phyllosilicate and their processing by pressing into tablets. The aim of this work was to determine electrical conductivity of the prepared tablets and based on the results to evaluate the best preparation procedure, precursor and type of clay.
