Hodnocení konkurenceschopnosti Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska v kontextu Strategie Evropa 2020

Abstract

The diploma thesis provides a comprehensive view of the European integration processes leading to the creation of the European Union and the methodology used to measure and assess the competitiveness of the EU Member States. The thesis aims to evaluate the competitiveness of the European Union Member States in the context of the Europe 2020 Strategy with a primary focus on the United Kingdom, its membership in the Union and the possible impacts of its eventual exit.

The first content, i.e. the second chapter in the order focuses on the development of European integration and the scope of the United Kingdom in the European Union. The third chapter describes the methodologies used to measure and evaluate competitiveness by specific dimensions and based on the European Union's growth strategies. The fourth chapter contains an econometric analysis, assessing the development of the Europe 2020 Strategy targets.
