Abstract

This thesis deals with issues of data mailboxes in business practice area. Institute of data mailboxes becomes more important than ever for entrepreneurs, because they are forced to communicate with authorities to a greater extent electronically. The aim of thesis is to evaluate objectively the benefits and drawbacks of data mailboxes for entrepreneurs. In the first section, theoretical knowledge of e-Government and data mailboxes is mentioned. A substantial part of the thesis is devoted to usage of data mailboxes in business practice. In the last chapter, the pros and cons of data mailboxes as from entrepreneurs´ perception are evaluated. The conclusion of such evaluation is that they find a time saving main advantage as well as the fact they can communicate with the authorities from anywhere the internet is available. On the other hand, frequent checking of the data mailbox in order to prevent the problems with a fiction of delivery, necessity of the document conversion and possible technical defects due to which a document may not be delivered on time are considered disadvantage.
