Abstract

The main point of this bachelor thesis is to study the influence of cooling rate on phase transformations of steel 25CrMo4.Theoretical part describes the decay of austenite, it’s products of phase transformation, construction of transformation diagram of both isothermal and anisothermic, dilatometry, softwares for transformation diagram construction and also analysis of empirical formulas. The experimental part describes the experimental equipment, the analysis of the studied steel, the process of all experiments performed and the summary of all results as the dilatometric tests, metallographic analysis, hardness measurement, simulation in the QTSteel 3.2 software and the calculations of the empirical formulas. The main focus is on the ferritic and perlite phase transformations.
