Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of payment instruments of cross-border payments, to analyse a legal regime and also essential requirements of these instruments.
The first part has a theoretical character. It defines the payment system, payment services and deals with both individual payment instruments documentary and non-documentary. It considers their legislation, essential requirements and different types of payments.
The second part is focused on a practical part. It analyses individual payment instruments based on given criteria. At the end, evaluation of the most suitable payment instrument for export company Moravia Steel, a.s. is mentioned.
This thesis presents legal information, on which the payment instruments are based.
