Abstract

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the analysis of one of the renewable energy sources, namely the energy of solar radiation. Renewable resources are understood as naturally renewing resources, among which, in addition to solar energy, wind energy, water, geothermal resources can also be included and biomass. At the beginning of the thesis, the problems of the world energy sector are described. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to renewable energy sources, photovoltaics, the use of solar energy, the way of obtaining it, the advantages and disadvantages of solar energy and the description of the photovoltaic cell. The practical part focuses on the design and instalation of photovoltaics, according to the valid legislation in the energy sector, including the design of a photovoltaic power plant. The thesis deals mainly with photovoltaics and in the conclusion of the thesis it is summarized that photovoltaics is currently a dynamically developing field and the conditions for new construction of photovoltaic facilities are very good.
