Abstract

The thesis is devoted to fire safety of facilities that produce, store and handle flammable liquids. The theoretical part of thesis deals with flammable liquids, their properties, classification, packaging, labeling and transporting. It also discusses summary of the legal acts related to manufacture, storage and handling of flammable liquids. The practical part is focused on evaluation of fire safety of plant producing paint and varnishes, on proposals for improving fire safety of the whole industry and on composition of guidelines for addressing fire safety of these buildings.
