Zhodnocení ukazatelů psychiatrické péče a duševního zdraví populace v zemích Evropské unie

Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the indicators of psychiatric care and mental health of the population in the EU countries between 2014 and 2024, and two hypotheses were defined for its fulfillment. Hypothesis 1 is: "The state of the psychiatric care system has improved on average for all EU countries from 2014 to 2020." Hypothesis 2 is: "The state of the psychiatric care system in the Czech Republic is above average compared to other EU countries." Different scientific methods such as analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction were used in this thesis. For the application part, the multi-criteria weighted sum method (WSA) was used. Based on the results of this method, countries such as Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands have achieved the greatest benefit. Countries such as Latvia, Lithuania and Hungary are then the worst performers. QGIS software was then used to visualise the results of the WSA method. Finally, the outputs of the paper and recommendations are presented. The main objective was met and both hypotheses were tested.
