Abstract
The thesis deals with the marketing communication of a sport event, which was 51. Yonex Championship of the Czech Republic in badminton. Badminton is the fastest racket sport and lately it belongs among the Olympic sports. It is a beautiful and demanding sport and its popularity by general public continues to increase. The problem connected to the realization of the marketing communication is specifically the lack of financial sources in this sport and also the low interest of media, which is necessary for sport promotion. The aim was to find out the public opinions on marketing communication of the SK Badminton Přerov towards the given sport event. In my thesis I did a research based on the questionnaire survey. The results were gathered into the suggestions and recommendations, which should lead to the marketing communication quality increasement and it should be aimed to SK Badminton Přerov and also to the organizers of the following tournaments.
