Abstract

Studying the influence of building motorway corridors and their activity on biota is in many aspects an interesting topic, but in the Czech Republic it is not researched in full details (TOMEČKOVÁ 2008). In my diploma project as well as in my last work titled "Motorway Corridors and their Influnce on Species Composition and Abundance of the Orthoptera", I chose Orthoptera as a model group . The first aim of diploma work was to state species compostion of the Orthoptera nearby the motorway corridor. After monitoring species compositon in the nearness of building motorway (topic of my previous work) and active motorway (topic of diploma work) we can see the changes in species composition of the Orthoptera. Another topic was to state the abundance of the Orthoptera in dependence on changes during the years 2008-2009. During 2007-2008 there were found 12 species of the Orthoptera, 4 representatives of suborder Ensifera and 8 of Caelifera on the model part of motorrway between Bravantice and Olbramice. Totally were found 1943 representatives, the most numerous species on the explored area was Pholidoptera griseoaptera. The least numerous were Meconema thalassinum and Oedipoda caerulescens. Changes in species composition of the Orthoptera are more significant on outlying areas than in the nearness of motorway. To make a conclusion a long-term monitoring is necessary. After two-year long monitoring, we are able to state that certain parts of the motorway can represent migration corridor for some termophile species of the Orthoptera.
