Aplikace pro měření přenosové rychlosti ze souborového serveru v datových mobilních sítích

Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on the bitrate measurement of data transfers between file server and client in mobile data neworks enviroment. Bitrate measurement is in this case based on fixed data transfer time concept (FDTT). This concept is closely described in technical report ETSI TR 102 678. Before each measurement is necessary to determine fixed amount of time, during which is bitrate measured - monitoring of data transferred. Main goal of this diploma thesis is to create an software application, which will measure bitrate according to the above-mentioned technical report. Time periods for measurement are in the range from 10 to 90 seconds. Application connects to the file server, performs the measurement and visualises results. Theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to issues of bitrate measurement and to used technologies. Practical part describes application development, its testing a analysis of results from testing. The application is written in Java programming language.
