Abstract
This bachelor thesis describes and addresses risks associated with the use of UAVs during the Army of the Czech Republic combat deployments abroad, especially the issues concerning quality of the connection in relation to the UAV flight level. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part describes the variety of UAVs used in armed forces and systems used by the 601. SFG. Attention is also paid to the imagery and map overlays, familiarization with maps and models and their 3D formats used. The first part also presents the use of map creation algorithm, and the algorithm used for calculating the direct visibility of the UAV and its ground control unit. Based on this information a model of line of sight at two altitudes its show based on this algorithm.
The second part is focused on the analysis of potential risks, the time sequence of these risks in relation to the utilization of UAVs during the combat missions.
