Abstract

This thesis describes a call quality testing between mobile stations, registered in network formed by Asterisk private branch exchange and station USRP N210, which serves as transceiver for OpenBTS - software implementation of GSM access point. Furthermore, the calls are tested with PESQ method and their results are compared with results of the call participants results, recorded by IVR service. This comparison serves for assessing, if the PESQ method is suitable for testing the quality of speech in OpenBTS network, how much are measured results different and also how could possibly be PESQ method with IVR service used for better call quality assessment in mobile networks.
