Těžba a zpracování českého granátu v ČR

Abstract

The aim of the bachalor thesis is to review the history and the present condition of the Czech garnet extraction and processing in Czech Republic. The writing summarises information about Czech garnet and its related minerals, about its origin and natural occurrence. Further, it examines the firm Granát, art production co-operative society with registered place in Turnov, which extracts and processes Czech garnet and trades finished products. Accordingly, certain part is dedicated to Czech garnet substitutes, the importance of trade mark „Czech granet“ and to economic context of extraction and processing.
