Abstract

This thesis deals with an explanation of the principles of functioning of supply sources. The properties of linear and contact supply sources are described and compared here. The first part is aimed at an elucidation of the function of individual elements such as transformers, rectifiers, stabilizers and filter units. Next section of the bachelor theses deals with a protection of supply sources and characterization of possible fault conditions. The third part does the possibilities of cooling of supply sources and component units contained in them. Then there are mentioned the requirements for dimensioning of the units and their proper choice. The fourth part is targeted at a proposal of the particular sources with fixed parameters. There is a comparison of the technical and economical parameters of the suggested sources in a final part.
