Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the application of fiber-optic sensors in the construction industry. In the introduction part there is described an overview with the fundamental principles of the fiber-optic sensors. Technologies used in the construction industry are also covered at the beginning. Then the following chapter contains description of the effects used in fiber-optics and sensors measure. Also usage of the fiber-optics in the scatter mode is described. Measurement of the fiber-optics for the construction and design optical sensor is evaluated. Based on this measurement the optical sensor system was designed with the proper description of his construction. Designed sensor system is then used for measurement of the temperature course during concrete hydration. Received figures are then processed by the Matlab application and the procedure of data processing is described. Processed figures are then evaluated.
