Abstract
The aim of the thesis was to analyze generation Y attitudes towards food quality labels in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Other objectives were to find out consumer attitudes towards quality and food quality labels in general, to find out a consumer awareness of food quality labels, an influence of quality labels in consumers decision-making process. As a method of data collection was used a survey based on structured questionnaire. In the Czech Republic was the questionnaire filled out by 221 respondents, in Slovakia it was 158 and in Poland it was 151 respondents. The main part of the thesis focuses on an analysis of the data obtained from questionnaires. Chi- Square test for finding dependencies among variables and ANOVA test for scale-questions were used. Further, attitudes of Czech, Slovak and Polish consumers of generation Y towards the food quality labels were compared and recommendations to increase awareness of food quality labels in the Czech Republic.were made.
