Rizika samovznícení pevných biopaliv

Abstract

Spontaneous combustion of solid combustible substances is a frequent cause of many fires during storage, handling and transport of many materials. Therefore, it presents permanent danger to health, property, and environment. One of the groups of solid substances, which tend to spontaneous heating, is solid biofuels. In comparison to fossil fuels, the problem of spontaneous combustion of solid biofuels is not so much solved. Spontaneous combustion of these materials occurs during their storage in large piles. The usage of solid biofuels that are replaced fossil fuels, increase. It means that danger of formation of fire due to spontaneous combustion increase. Because spontaneous combustion is influenced by many factors, uniform guidelines for the storage of wood cannot be created. For this reason it is necessary to evaluate of tend to spontaneous combustion of particular wood materials and under specific situations and to study the effect of different conditions on the formation of spontaneous combustion. The subject of this dissertation is to evaluate of tend to spontaneous combustion of different kinds of wood chips. In this thesis, the effect of moisture on self – ignition temperature is studied and assessment of effect of temperature of heating on the composition of gaseous products of self – heating. On the basis of research and measurement data, methodological guidelines for the safe storage of wood chips in terms of tend to spontaneous combustion was created. The findings in this study are a contribution to assessment of safety conditions for storage evaluated wood materials and similar materials. These findings can be used for selection of safety precaution.
