Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the characteristics of mixed ceramics Al2O3-TiC. The first part describes the characteristics of technical ceramics and its distribution. Mixed ceramics and their selected representatives are also characterized. The second part is focused on technical ceramics Al2O3 and TiC. The experimental part deals with a cutting plate made of mixed ceramic Al2O3-TiC, which is subjected to structural analysis, SEM and EDX analysis, Vickers hardness measurement and determination of indentation fracture toughness.
