Po stopách židovské komunity v Chomutově a okolí

Abstract

In my bachelor thesis I focus on the history of Jews in the Chomutov region and also on places which are related with the history of Jewish community. The first part of my thesis is focused on general history of Jews in the Czech Republic and then on the history of Jews in Chomutov and nearby Údlice. In Chomutov and surroundings were also born several important people of which I mention. The second section is devoted to the selected Jewish monuments, especially synagogues, Jewish cemeteries and former ghettos. Also a proposal for a two-day excursion is included. In the third part I inform about places, which are connected with various tragic events.
