Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of adaptation of women in the labour market after parental leave. The aim of the bachelor thesis is based on the analysis of the labour market for the period 2009-2021 in the Zlín region and the results of a questionnaire survey, which took place in February 2022, to find out how women adapt after parental leave on the labour market in the Zlín region and identify the main problems are associated with this. The methodology of the questionnaire survey and analysis is used in the work, these methods were used in the practical part of the bachelor thesis. The method of description was used for the theoretical part of the work. The method of analysis was used to analyse the labour market in the Zlín Region for the selected monitoring period 2009–2021. As part of the analysis of the Zlín Region, the average gross monthly wage was analysed, which was analysed from 2009 to 2021. During this period, the average gross wage had an increasing tendency, rising to CZK 35 183 in 2021 from CZK 20 049 in 2009. As of 31 December 2021, the region had a total unemployment rate of 2.7%, and thus ranked second among the regions in the Czech Republic. The total number of job seekers in the records of the Labour Office as of 31 December 2009 was 33 836. Compared to 2021, the total number of job seekers decreased to 10 597, the lowest value found was in 2019, namely a total of 10 000 job seekers in the records of the Labour Office. The numbers of jobseekers registered at the Labour Office after maternity or parental leave began to be monitored only in 2016. The most women registered at the Labour Office were in 2016, namely 589. On the other hand, the least (201) were registered in 2019. The total number of jobseekers employment in the register at the Labour Office after parental / maternity leave is declining, the total number has decreased by 308 applicants compared to 2016, which is more than 50%. In the development of the number of employers in the region in the given period, a decrease in the total value was recorded from the original 14 455 to 13 766 employers, of which the fewest employers are registered in the Kroměříž district. However, the number of employees in the region is the opposite, from the original number of employees in 2009 an increase of 2% of the total value was recorded in 2021, namely 215 675 employees as of 31 December 2021. Vacancies in the region were also analysed. where the lowest value was in 2019 (0.8 applicants per 1 VPM) and the highest value in 2009, namely 27 applicants per 1 VPM. The questionnaire survey took place in February 2022. A total of 283 respondents in the age category 31–40 years (60.4%), 20–30 years (36%), 41–50 years (3.5%) took part in the survey. The most frequent answer to the question of how many children the respondents had was two children (47.7%) and the respondents spent 3-4 years at the family house (49.6% answered). The survey showed that the majority of women (65%) did not return to their current job, and of these women who did not return to their current job, 73% had to change their profession after leaving the family. Most women in the survey chose to work in the public sector. The decisive factors for choosing a job are flexible working hours, distance from home and wages. Most of the respondents did not choose a part-time job after returning to work after the FH. The survey was attended by respondents with a high school diploma (45%), a university degree (30%), a high school diploma (16%), a higher vocational school (7%) and a basic school (2%).
