Abstract

The thesis is focused on investing in people in conditions of public administration. The main aim of this thesis is to define the advantages and disadvantages of the introduction and use the method Investors in People and evaluation of human resources, in conditions of the Office of the Regional Council Moravia Silesia. There was formulated hypothesis: "Method Investors in People has positive impact on human resources management system in the Office of the Regional Council Moravia Silesia”. The thesis is divided thematically into three chapters. The first chapter provides information about the status and categories of public employees, their selection, training, evaluation and systems of rewarding. The content of second chapter is description of introduction Investors in People standard and its comparison of another methods used in human resources management. The third chapter is devoted to the application of Investors in People method in the Office of the Regional Council Moravia Silesia. In conclusion, the aim of this thesis has been fulfilled and the hypothesis was confirmed. Futhermore, the organization was proposed four options how to improve its management of human resources.
