Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to determine the value of a company operating in the metallurgical industry as of the valuation date of January 1, 2025 on an equity basis. The valuation is carried out using selected income-based methods and serves as a basis for strategic decision-making by management. The thesis also includes a comparison of the results obtained by the individual methods used. The theoretical part defines the fundamental principles of business valuation, while the practical part focuses on the application of these concepts to a specific company, including the execution of a strategic and financial analysis and the preparation of a financial plan. The thesis also includes a sensitivity analysis assessing the impact of changes in key input parameters on the resulting company value. The valuation is performed using the discounted cash flow (DCF) method and the capitalization of earnings method, with the accounting method used as a supplementary approach. Based on the calculations performed, an interval of the company’s value was determined.
