Abstract
This thesis deals with the wage system and its influence on job selection. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the wage system in the Czech Republic and in neighbouring countries. It then analyses it according to minimum, average and hourly wages. The thesis also includes sample calculated wages of various economic positions that can be performed in the Czech Republic after completing the Accounting and Tax field and then compares them with the given position in neighbouring countries. The theoretical part of the thesis applies the findings from the theoretical part of the thesis to the practical part, where it advises decision makers using multi-criteria decision making methods, specifically TOPSIS and AHP, to select the right job. The chapter focuses on accounting and tax students, but the decision scheme can be used by absolutely anyone, just by changing the options or adjusting the criteria. The thesis includes Analysis, Comparison and Multi-criteria decision making methods (specifically TOPSIS and AHP methods).
