Analysis of health and safety system management in the manufacturing company

Topic of this thesis is Analysis of health and safety system management in the manufacturing company. The thesis is focused on analysis of health and safety system management in company ZPT Vigantice spol. s r. o. Business of the company is research, development, planning, production, installation and revision, purchase and sale of electric machines and electronic equipment, medical equipment and devices. Aim of the thesis is analysis of the health and safety system management in company ZPT Vigantice spol. s r. o. and then suggesting measures which the company would have to adopt to be able to ask ČSN OHSAS 18001:2008 certification – health and safety system management. OHSAS 18001 is internationally accepted specification for assess health and safety system management. The basic principle is identification of all risk at workplace and their effective management to minimize and limit possible injury of workers’ health. The standard emphasises prevention and predictability of dangerous situations which can happen at the workplace. The standard is constructed to be suitable for companies of various types and sizes. Structure of OHSAS follows standard ČSN EN ISO 9001 and ČSN EN ISO 14001. The thesis is divided into four parts, introduction and conclusion. Chapter Theoretical starting-point of health and safety system management is devoted to theoretical definition of standard OHSAS 18001 and its principles and benefits for the company. There are also requirements of the standard described in this chapter. Chapter Characteristics of the company describes the company ZPT Vigantice spol. s r. o. There is basic information about the company described in the chapter. Next the chapter includes policy of the company. Chapter Analysis of health and safety system management describes analysis of occupational health and safety system management in company ZPT Vigantice. Chapter Suggestion measure to fulfil requirements of OHSAS 18001 includes risk analysis by method FMEA and by method JBM. A current rating system of risk in the company is described in this chapter too. The chapter also includes suggestions measures which the company would have to adopt to fulfil requirements of OHSAS 18001 certification.
