Abstract
Thesis on "Financing of waste management projects in the Central Region from the EU Structural Funds" in its introductory section deals with the characteristics of EU structural policy and the Operational Programme Environment, followed by the characteristics of the waste management of Central region, especially the Waste Management Plan for the Central region and evaluation of its performance for year 2010. Aim of this study is to evaluate the support for projects of the Operational Programme Environment for quality management of municipal waste in the Central region, depending on the implementation of the Waste Management Plan of the Central Region. The next section is therefore devoted to reviews of selected supported projects focusing on the management of biodegradable municipal waste and separate collection of waste.
