Zvukový GIS – soundcity

Abstract

The thesis deals with the issue of geoinformation technologies, which currently lack an audio component. Recordings were collected from the urban environments of Ostrava city and Dobruška. Low-level parameters were established for the recordings, which determine the statistical properties of the sound. Subsequently, the data was evaluated using appropriate analyses to determine the characteristic feature of audio classes among themselves. A web map application called Sound City was created to present the audio recordings. Users of the application can play back recordings, view selected sounds, times and low-level parameters on a map.
