Ověření sorpčních vlastností modifikovaných vermikulitů

Abstract

This thesis presents the verification of sorption properties of modified vermiculites ( 2:1 clay minerals). The sorption processes are mentionened in theoretical part of the thesis. Properties of clay minerals, sorption properties of modified clays and activated carbon can be found there. The experimental part is focused on comparison of four modified vermikulites and activated carbon. This comparison is based on capability of removing of naphtalene from water solution. This part of the thesis also contains the XRD, IR, TOC and granulometry analyses of the modified vermikulites. Results of the sorption effectivity of modified vermikulites and activated carbon (the most efficien and wide-spread sorbent for nonionic organic compounds in water management) are finelly compared.
