Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with a system for tracking the position of the Sun. Part of the work is a real model for the implementation of the mentioned system. The work contains a theoretical analysis of the movement of the Sun across the sky, which is intended to introduce the basic concepts for tracking the position on the celestial sphere. The work continues with the description of solar energy together with the description of photovoltaic cells. The division of stepper motors is also described with an indication of control methods. As part of the practical part, the mechanical and electrical solution of the device, which complements the software, is processed. The last part is the realization of the device with the verification of its function in comparison with the tools available online.
