Vliv výrobní technologie na vlastnosti nástrojové oceli pro práci za tepla

Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the influence of manufacturing technology on the structure and properties of tool steels, with emphasis on the comparison of conventionally produced steels and steels processed by electroslag remelting (ESR). The theoretical part summarizes the basic knowledge of tool steel development, classification, chemical composition, microstructure, and production technologies. Attention is also paid to the effects of alloying elements, carbide phases, grain size, and retained austenite on their properties. The thesis also includes a basic description of ESR technology, including its benefits and limitations. The experimental part is focused on the characterization of selected tool steel samples produced by conventional methods and by ESR technology. The evaluated parameters include chemical composition, microstructure, microcleanliness, grain size, and hardness. Based on the obtained results, the effect of manufacturing technology on the microstructural condition and selected properties of the investigated steels is assessed, and both production routes are compared in terms of their significance for industrial applications.
