Možnosti simulace odstraňování vměstků z oceli při proudění v mezipánvi

Abstract

This thesis is devoted to the analysis of current research in the area of removal of non-metallic inclusions in the flow of steel in the tundish, using numerical simulations and physical modelling. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is devoted to the theoretical description of the continuous casting machine and includes a detailed description of the tundish and possible ways of optimizing the melt flow in the tundish. Attention is also given to non-metallic inclusions and their different types. The following part of the bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of worldwide researches in the field of numerical and physical modelling of the outflow of non-metallic inclusions in the tundish. This section evaluates different tundish settings to achieve optimum conditions for the removal of inclusions. Primarily focusing on the use of dams, their quantity and shape, the porous blocks and the amount of blown inert gas, the different shapes of the impact pads, but also the induction heating of the steel bath directly in the tundish, which positively affects the final cleanliness of the precast. The aim of the present bachelor thesis is to understand and analyse the current possibilities of numerical and physical modelling in the area of the tundish in order to achieve high microcleanliness of pre-casts and the related quality of final products.
