Závislost mechanických vlastností na chemickém složení litiny s lupínkovým grafitem

Abstract

The presented bachelor thesis is devoted to some characteristics of grey cast irons. In the theoretical part a classitication of cast irons is given. The main attention si paid to the methods of inoculation, sescription of inoculation mechanisms and also to the principal technologies of inoculation of grey cast iron. In the experimental part the influence of changes in the composition of a metallic charge is studied on the tensile strength of a grey cast iron corresponding to ČSN 422425 standard. The substitution of a part of pig iron by iron briquettes and silicon carbide did not deteriorate mechanical properties of the studied grey cast iron, Furthermore, this substitution resulted in the production costs saving.
