Abstract
The thesis is devoted to the issue of pesticides and their negative effects on human health and ecosystems. It deals with categorizing of pesticides and a description of their basic characteristics. It describes the current state of knowledge on the issues and related legislation. It deals with methods of determination of pesticide residues and reducing the pesticides in the environment.
