Abstract
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze consumers' attitudes towards Bitcoin payments and their willingness to using it as transaction tool. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the concept of Bitcoin, its history, and the potential advantages and disadvantages associated with its use. A quantitative non-probability sampling method, specifically the snowball technique, is chosen for data collection. Data acquisition was conducted through a questionnaire survey, which helped to collect a statistical data on consumers' preferences and concerns regarding bitcoin and bitcoin payments. The analysis revealed that bitcoin's popularity is significant, and consumers are aware of the potential of using it as a payment method. However, despite these facts, only a minority of consumers perceive bitcoin as a payment tool, while for the majority, it is seen as an investment instrument. The broader acceptance of bitcoin as a type of payment is hindered primarily by the tax regulations associated with this kind of payment.
