Abstract

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to design a decision-making model for subcontractor selection in a construction company with the use of multi-criteria decision-making methods. In relation to this issue, firstly the theoretical and methodological background of multi-criteria decision-making is described regarding the definitions of the methods used in this thesis. Then, the current state of subcontractor selection in a construction company is analysed, which process and according to which criteria the subcontractor is currently selected, who is involved in this process and who approves it. The practical part includes the definition of the criteria and the determination of their weights using Saaty’s pairwise comparison method.The output of the model is the determination of the optimal subcontractor option for a given contract. At the end, a sensitivity analysis of the results is performed.
