Benchmarking finančního zdraví společnosti TATRA METALURGIE a.s.

Abstract

The topic of the master’s thesis is the benchmarking of the financial health of the company TATRA METALLURGY plc. Its aim is to define theoretically the content of some basic instruments and methods, which have been used by the processing of the topic with the subsequent practical application of the gained knowledge. In the theoretical part of the thesis the concept of benchmarking is defined and there are described the selected methods and instruments of financial analysis and the basic models of evaluation of the company’s financial performance. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the application of theoretical knowledge with the subsequent implementation of an interdisciplinary comparison of the company’s financial indicators with direct competitors in the industry. On the basis of the obtained results the evaluation of the company’s financial situation with the proposals for its improvement is done.
