Abstract

The main objective of Master’s Thesis is analyzing the system of supplier election and evaluation in international research organization and suggesting improvements for currently operating system. Theoretical part is devoted to theory of purchasing activities, purchasing functions and goals. Theoretical part also describes various methods for election and evaluation of suppliers including the process of choosing the right criterion. Practical part of this Thesis analyzes systems of supplier election and evaluation in various international research organizations. The main focus is on analyzing the operating system in Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia) and based on conclusions from the analysis improvements are suggested. Newly designed system of supplier evaluation is tested on sample of suppliers and outcomes are reviewed.
