Charakteristika pohornické krajiny z hlediska environmentálního potenciálu (Karviná - Doly)

Abstract

This bachelor thesis examines the post-mining landscape in the Karviná-Doly area from the perspective of its environmental potential. It focuses on analyzing the geological, pedological, hydrological, and biological components of the landscape and their interrelationships. The thesis includes a description of the impacts of deep coal mining and the importance of reclamation processes in the restoration of the area. The evaluation is based on an analysis of scientific literature, map data, and field documentation. The results show that the area is characterized by significant heterogeneity and the capacity for natural regeneration, particularly through the succession of wetland and aquatic habitats. At the same time, limitations were identified primarily substrate instability, fluctuations in the groundwater level, and anthropogenic impacts that affect the area’s future usability.
