Abstract
The new die forging technology for the production of crankshaft throw is introduced now in Vítkovice HEAVY MACHINERY a.s.. This die forging technology of crankshaft throw is original because it was designed for application to forming device intended only for free forging, which are not adapted to successful die forging process. It was necessary to develop completely original technology and the die design to enable to carry out die forging of crankshaft throw on these presses. Before practical utilization, this technology was subjected to mathematical simulation and to successive improving on the basis of simulation results. In addition to that, experimental verification of the technology in scale 1:3 was carried out. The effort devoted to the development of new forging technology of crankshaft throw is worth it, because it leads to material saving, it enables to leave out some operation steps which were needed for the previously used technology, it brings another method of forming that assures higher measure of strain in the highest overstressed throw part.
This thesis deals with a modelling new technology - drop forging medium pieces crankshafts and its introduction into production.
