Abstract

This thesis deals with the possibilities of deploying ® EPLAN Electric P8 in the design of ® ELVAC AUTOMATION The whole thesis is logically divided into four chapters, following that their contents correspond to the scope the problem. The first three chapters provide an introduction to the problems associated with the design of machinery and equipment. In contrast, the last two chapters focus on practical solutions to sample, transfer of documents between systems EPLAN ® 5.5 elecktric EPLAN P8 and assess the level of security properties of a particular circuit. When evaluating the performance level of safety circuits, the calculation carried out using two alternative methods. The selection of these methods is seeking alternative but equivalent results. The first method is done manually methodology developed by the ISO 13849-1:2008, the second method is by using computer applications Sistema ®.
