Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with businesswomen in the Moravian-Silesian Region and the barriers they encounter while doing their businesses. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains the concepts related to gender and entrepreneurship and it as well lists the characteristics of a good businesswoman and emerging supports for women in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Also, there is a brief overview of the region, and obstacles and motives that arise during women's entrepreneurship. The practical part is devoted to personal interviews and questionnaire evaluation. There is a SWOT analysis aimed directly at the interviewed businesswomen, and a PEST analysis which is related to the Moravian-Silesian Region. Thereafter a competition for businesswomen taking place in the Moravian-Silesian Region is described and finally there is a summary and recommendations for individual results.
