Regulace pojistných podvodů v České republice

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with a problematic of insurance frauds in the Czech Republic. Firstly, the thesis is focused on insurance fraud from criminal law perspective. Furthermore, it is focused on economic impact of insurance frauds on policyholders and insurers and also on development of insurance frauds regarding a number of cases and the amount of caused damages. The aims of the diploma thesis are suggestions for improvement of the current preventive measures and a suggestion of a new preventive measure for insurance subjects providing insurance within the Czech Republic. The increase in awareness of insurance companies’ clients of the fact that insurance fraud is a criminal act is the other aim of the thesis. The given aims are achieved in the fifth chapter of this diploma thesis. In conclusion evaluation of the situation regarding insurance frauds in the insurance market, principles of committing insurance frauds and suggestions of public awareness regarding this problematic are revealed.
