Abstract
This thesis deals with the accessibility of websites for all types of users without any health or social difference.
The reasons why it is necessary to address the issue of web pages accessibility are explained in the interpretive part of this thesis. There are explained terms necessary for understanding the further content. It also presents types of disabilities, which may limit the web user. An overview of Czech and foreign standards, that define requirements for accessible web, are the vital part of this thesis.
The output of this thesis is also a user guide, which is still missing in the Czech region, and may be an appropriate tool for every webmaster. This guide describes web accessibility issues (types of disabilities and a survey of standards) and explains Czech accessibility rules, defined in the notice No. 64/2008 Col. The key part of this guide is application of these rules to the web conference DATAKON. A detailed analysis shows the advantages of this website, but also reveals many elements that are inconsistent with the applicable rules mentioned above. Based on these findings, the options for correction of these issues, i.e. removal of user unfriendly elements, are proposed.
