The bachelor thesis deals with the reaction of floor coverings to fire from plastic-based materials. It evaluates the critical heat flow of quenching and smoke development.
The theoretical part describes the floor covering in terms of the requirements that it must meet, its types and parts from which it consists. Furthermore, this section describes the individual test methods by which floor coverings are tested and the criteria for determining their class of reaction to fire.
The practical part describes in more detail the method of determination of burning behavior using the source of radiant heat, which was the content of this work according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 9239-1. Critical quenching and optical smoke density were measured. This part describes the procedure and course of measurement and evaluation of results from measurements
