Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the successfulness of V4 countries in a competition of foreign investments. The work studying international investments of V4 countries in time period before the entrance of the European Union and also in time during the membership of these countries. Thesis is divided in to five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, the second chapter theoretically determines the foreign direct investments. All information about the way of investing, types of the investments and motivation of investors are presented here. The third chapter is aimed on the area of investment incentives. The ways how V4 countries attracted investors to invest are mentioned in this part. In fourth chapter there are comparison of incoming PZI in each country of V4. The final chapter includes a summary of the diploma thesis.
