Nesoulad mezi vzděláním a zaměstnáním na trhu práce v ČR

Abstract

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the mismatch between education and employment in the Czech labour market. The thesis aims to characterize the situation of educational mismatch among respondents who participated in the questionnaire survey. In the theoretical part, attention is paid to human capital and how it can be invested in. It also defines the educational mismatch and related concepts, including a description of the Beveridge curve, which tracks the relationship between the number of job vacancies and the unemployment rate in the economy. The empirical part is devoted to two methods of examining the education mismatch, namely descriptive and correlation analysis. The descriptive analysis includes graphs describing the educational mismatch by gender, age, industry, region and educational attainment. Correlation analysis, on the other hand, looks at whether there is a statistical relationship between over-education (or under-education) and wages within each level of education and for both genders separately.
