Abstract

The thesis deals with a possible usage of a thermovision system as far as the protection of Leos Janacek Ostrava Airport is concerned. It outlines the possibilities of contactless temperature measurement and its drawbacks. When it comes to febrile passengers, the application of contactless temperature measurement is suggested, especially for those ones who might be of a potential danger in terms of an undesirable spreading of various infectious diseases in their closest vicinity. The fact that it may also help in indicating the presence of various life-forms, primarily in the passenger’s baggage, is also promoted. The essential part of the work also includes the practical usage of experimental method on certain parts of the thermovision system in favor of finding out the actual suitability of the application of thermovision systems in the real-world practice.
