Abstract

The goal of this Diploma thesis is to evaluate the impact of the dumped imports of Chinese steel on EU’s steel industry. Thesis devotes to the formation of legal and institutional security of the EU in the area of anti-dumping investigations and the introduction of anti-dumping measures on dumped imports from third countries. At the same time thesis analyzes anti-dumping investigations and anti dumping measures of the EU and China based on different criteria. Final part evaluates the current status of the EU’s steel industry as a result of steel overcapacity in the world caused by China. The thesis also analyzes the impact of Chinese dumped imports of steel on EU’s steel industry and the potential of EU’s steel industry in future. Diploma thesis is completed by many graphs and tables which demonstrate the investigation results of the thesis’s goal.
