Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the design of a web database application for managing internships at a vocational secondary school. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement an application that enables the recording of internship dates, the management of student registrations, and support for teachers in managing students, internship dates, registrations, and internship locations within the application. After logging in, students are redirected to the student interface, where they can register for a published internship date. Data from web forms are stored in a relational database. The web interface was created using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Communication between the web application and the database server is provided by PHP, and the database part is created using SQL in the MySQL/MariaDB environment. The result of the thesis is a functional design and implementation of a database application that centralizes internship records and simplifies the student registration process.
